About TrailBlazier Counseling & Consulting

mary
Therapy that makes room for all of you

Hi, I’m Mary Blazier. I work with thoughtful, capable people who may understand themselves well and still feel taken over by anxiety, pressure, shame, or an old protective response.

You will be met with warmth and curiosity, invited into meaningful challenge, and trusted to know your own pace. TrailBlazier welcomes people across identities, backgrounds, beliefs, relationships, and family structures, including LGBTQ+ clients. You will not be asked to leave important parts of yourself outside the work.

Sometimes change begins in conversation. Sometimes it begins when you draw what you cannot yet explain, notice your response on a quiet walk, work with sound or rhythm, or try something new with support.

We will choose what fits, adapt as needed, and keep every experience connected to the change you want.

Parents

For parents who may feel overwhelmed by the challenges of parenting and want to take an active, supportive role in their child’s growth—while respecting the therapeutic relationship and age-appropriate privacy and participating in coaching when helpful.

Grounded in IFS. Brought to life through experience. Guided by your pace.

Internal Family Systems provides the foundation for understanding what happens inside. Experiential methods create opportunities to notice and practice change. Choice keeps the work collaborative and individualized.

All Parts Belong

We get curious about the parts of you that worry, protect, push, avoid, please, criticize, or shut down. The goal is not to get rid of them. It is to build understanding, reduce shame, and strengthen calm, clear self-leadership.

Practice, not only talk

Therapy may include conversation, drawing, sand, objects, sound, sensory grounding, nature, walking, play, or another purposeful experience. The activity can be quiet, tactile, creative, or active.

Challenge by choice

You can participate, adapt, pause, observe, or decline. We choose experiences together based on your goals, readiness, access needs, setting, and what feels useful that day.
